I. Product Essence
1. Name: Aluminum Block-Casting Capped End
2. Function: A “metal plug” for the dead-end of a busduct run; closes the aluminum housing and covers the copper-bar ends.
3. Process: High-pressure die-cast aluminum (ADC12), deburred and then sand-blasted or anodized; inner face is left flat—no cooling fins are machined.
II. Actual Roles
1. Housing continuation: Same width and height as the aluminum busduct shell, keeps a uniform appearance and acts as a “protective-earthing extension” through screw contact with the casing.
2. End sealing + mechanical protection + electrical screening: prevents dust, moisture and small animals from entering, and avoids exposed copper ends that could cause electric shock or short-circuits.
III. Typical Structure & Dimensions (industry reference)
- Material: ADC12, wall thickness 2.5–3 mm
- Outline: Rectangular “cap”, depth 25–35 mm, front closed, back fully open; four Ø6 mm countersunk holes on the perimeter for riveting or M6 bolting to the duct shell
- Earthing: No pre-moulded copper insert; protective-earth continuity relies on metal-to-metal contact between the cap and the shell (check if a tin-plated washer is added in-plant)
- Surface finish: sand-blasted
- Weight: approx. 0.1–0.2 kg (increases linearly with shell width 110–140 mm)
IV. Application Scenes
Indoor feeder ends—commercial buildings, factory power-distribution rooms
V. Transport & Installation
- Packing: 100 pcs per carton
- Installation: 4 bolts, finished in one minute by hand
